"Making friends with a claw hammer"

I just recently was able to complete my full set of mismatched dishes upon another womyn leaving the land. While we don't usually have much in the way of possessions, we usually leave something behind for others to use. Karmic balance. In this instance, I was fortunate enough to move into the home vacated by a cook. And not just any cook, one that was moving into a smaller place. In order to celebrate the new journey she was going on, I felt it time to throw a potluck gathering at the community firepit.

I may now have the dishes, but I still don't have the skill needed to fully utilize them, so my contribution to the potluck was a large hunk of chocolate for desert. Not like a king size hershey bar, but truly a large hunk of chocolate with no discernable piece separation. Now I was all for just letting people bite off however much they could chew, but a Leo womyn told me that she had been processing that for years now, and if I respected her boundaries, I'd better be happy to cut that up for her. I hadn't thought far enough ahead to figure out how I was going to accomplish that task.

Being a Land Dyke, tools are plentiful, yet not neccessarily participating in activities they were made for. I have a flat head screwdriver, but up until my recent dish acquisitions, I didn't have a butter knife. I'm certainly repairing and screwing much more than I'm cooking. It's womyn's land. After digging through my tool stash, I come across the perfect tool that is most certainly up to the task at hand. If you have ever been in doubt as to the destruction capabilities of the claw hammer...find a history book about the middle ages..cuz I'm sure that the claw hammer is a descendant of some medieval weapon used to slaughter the masses. But I digress. The claw hammer is the most useful tool when you are living on the land and need to bust something up, or when there are lots of groovy womyn wanting chocolate.
